WHAT WE DO: Our mission is to provide information and support for children and adolescents with cancer and their families, to provide grassroots leadership through advocacy and awareness, and to support research leading to a cure for all children diagnosed with this life-threatening disease.
HOW TO DONATE: If you would like to donate to the American Children's Cancer Organization, visit here! You can also get kids involved in fighting pediatric cancer! The ACCO sponsors a fundraising program called PJammin, where kids where their pajamas to raise money for kids with cancer. They collect $1 donations for pediatric cancer research. Your welcome, Kelly. I didn't mention in the post, but these are also good resources for teaching kids about cancer in general, for a classroom setting, or just close friends of those with cancer!
ReplyDeleteKatie, you are doing wonderful things by sharing these resources. Cancer is a topic most (healthy) readers would shy from, but for those with sick family members, this is like a comforting pat or a squeeze on the shoulder. Nobody can fight illnesses alone.
